Interventional Cardiology Care

An interventional procedure is a non-surgical treatment used to open narrowed coronary arteries to improve blood flow to the heart. Interventional procedures are not considered surgical because there is no large incision used to open the chest. The goal of an interventional procedure is to increase blood flow to the heart, reduce chest pain and decrease the risk of a heart attack. These procedures include cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, stents and balloon angioplasty with stenting.

Heart Transplants

A heart transplant is a procedure used to remove a diseased heart from a person and replace it with a healthy one from an organ donor. Potential recipients of heart transplants at the INTEGRIS Health Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute and INTEGRIS Health Heart Hospital must meet the following heart transplant criteria to join the transplant list. INTEGRIS Health is proud to be one of the largest and most experienced transplant teams in the US.
